Questions

What does Mutabaqa do?

It reconciles two statements of the same account: your books and the other side's statement, for a customer, a supplier, a bank or a group company. Each row on one side is paired with its partner on the other, each pair says why it matched, and the difference between the two balances is traced to the rows that cause it.

Which files can I upload?

Excel (.xlsx, .xlsm, .xls) and CSV, as two files or one workbook with two sheets. Headers can be in Arabic, English or French. Mutabaqa finds the date, description, debit and credit columns (or one signed amount column) on its own, and you can change any of them in one click.

Does it only match identical rows?

No. It also pairs a payment split across several rows, an entry the other side posted a few days later, a date typed wrongly, and amounts that differ slightly. Each pair is labelled, so you can see which are certain and which need a look. Rows it cannot pair are listed for review, or as appearing on one side only.

Is it free? Do I need an account?

It is free during the beta, with no sign-up and no cookies. Each statement can have up to 20,000 rows, and each file up to 15 MB.

What happens to my files?

They are kept in memory only to build your report, and deleted within 30 minutes. Nothing from your files is stored or shared. The results are suggestions for an accountant to review.

What do I get at the end?

A report on screen and an Excel file, in English or Arabic: the matched pairs with their reasons, the rows to review, the rows on one side only, and how the balances reconcile.
